Soaking seeds: Since eggplant seeds have a relatively hard shell, soak them in warm water (ratio 2 hot : 3 cold) for 10–24 hours to stimulate germination. Pre-sprouting: After soaking, drain the seeds and wrap them in a moist cloth. Keep them until they begin to sprout (this usually takes a few days).
