🌱How to plant seeds
Choose a sunny location with well-drained, loose soil. Loosen the soil to a depth of 20-30 cm (8-12 inches) and add organic compost or manure to enrich the soil. Soak the sweet corn seeds in warm water for 8-12 hours before planting to speed up germination.
Step 1: PREPARE
Sow the seeds directly into the soil, spacing them about 25-30 cm (10-12 inches) apart, and plant them 2-3 cm (1 inch) deep. Water regularly, keeping the soil moist but not waterlogged. When the plants reach a height of 10-15 cm (4-6 inches), apply additional organic fertilizer to support growth.
Step 2: SOWING THE SEED
Sweet corn is usually ready for harvest about 45-60 days after planting. Harvest when the ears are full and the silk (corn tassels) has turned brown. For best results, pick the corn early in the morning when it's freshest.
